Up to now, we've seen the capabilities of three (possibly four) of the Infinity Stones (the Marvel Cinematic Universe name for the Infinity Gems from the comics). We've seen the Tesseract, the Aether, the Orb and, if it is actually another Infinity Stone, an as yet unnamed additional gem in the Sceptre Loki used in the Avengers movie. Aside from the mind-control powers and portal generation capabilities of the might-be-stone in Loki's sceptre, all the other Infinity Stones have really done is fired energy blasts - which is, quite frankly, a bit crappy. If these displays of power are anything to go by, it's hard to see how the combined might of all six Infinity Stones will grant Thanos anywhere near the level of power he displayed in the comic book Infinity Gauntlet story arc. If all Thanos can do with the Inifinty Gauntlet is fire really powerful energy blasts, open portals and mind-control people by touching them, it will be a far cry from the universe-spanning reality warping abilities he showed on-panel and, as a result, quite the anti-climax. So there you have it - ten things we don't want to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which will happen anyway). Did you enjoy this article? Do you agree with the entries on this list?
