10 Things We Know About The Future Of The X-Men Movies

2. X-Force Will Feature Cable, Deadpool, And More

One of Fox's most anticipated upcoming superhero projects is X-Force, something that was set up and teased (...sort of) in Deadpool 2.

Set to be written and directed by Drew Goddard (The Cabin In The Woods), X-Force will be a raunchier take on a traditional X-Men team-up movie, with filming reportedly beginning later this year.

Deadpool, Cable and Domino will appear in the movie, alongside a handful of other heroes - and, quite possibly, Peter W. Since he's so valuable and all. While the main series of X-Men movies looks to be sputtering out (especially with Apocalypse's lukewarm reception), one of Deadpool 2's goals was to further flesh out this side of the X-Universe so it could continue to bigger and better places.

And yes, X-Force might not happen if the Disney deal goes through, but with the financial returns Deadpool is capable of delivering, Disney would be silly to let the project die.
