10 Things We Want To See In Peter Jackson's Upcoming Beatles Documentary

6. Reruns Of Older Material

Much like Bob Dylan had done, Let It Be's original life began as the Beatles wanting to bring their sound back home. Most of the band's newer material seemed to be a more organic form of writing, but the actual songs that were being used for the album didn't always need to be all new tracks.

There were many songs that the band had considered recutting from their earlier years, with only the Lennon/McCartney song "One After 909" surviving the final cut for the album. On the other side of things, the band did take a few passes at some of their earlier hits like "Love Me Do," which would have fit perfectly given the original's bluesy delivery.

Even after the Beatles had disbanded, John Lennon had expressed an interest in going back to old Beatles hits like "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and "She Loves You" and redoing them. This would be an incredibly intriguing idea for any Fabs fan by hearing the boys playing the fun-loving songs from their early years as seasoned pros of the music world. There exists demos of the band joking around on old songs like "Help!," but the prospect of hearing the band's material in a new context would be an absolute treat.
