Nothing plays up the true alcoholic nature of espionage in fiction like Fox's show Archer. Watching his selfish self drink himself to death alongside his awful mother Mallory every Thursday night at 10 is hilarious, but also raises a good point. Doesn't Bond, Archer's grandfather of image, drink entirely way too much for one guy? Ian Fleming, the author of the original Bond novels, died at the age of 56. Is it really any wonder why if he lived the way Bond does on the page? Studies show that constant drink and smoke is bad for you. Yet Bond chugs martinis and use to light up cigarettes like they were his versions of water and candy. Recently, in Skyfall, the doctor's even point out that Bond is a man just one step ahead of substance addiction. So when are we going to see the movie where 007 has go to rehab? You got that right. Never.
