During the 2016 Academy Awards ceremony, Lady Gaga performed her Oscar nominated song Til It Happens To You from the 2015 documentary The Hunting Ground, which deals with campus rape in the United States. Gaga's performance featured a large group of sexual assault survivors joininh the pop star on-stage at the close of the song, a sobering and cathartic moment. After the peformance was over, each of the victims filed off stage, and Brie Larson was there to offer a brief hug of support to every single one of them.
