Perhaps less surprisingly now that you've read the last point about her performing in a more "arty" medium, it's still a little known fact that Cobie Smulders spent a summer studying the works of Shakespeare in the English capital London. it was perhaps more recently than you might think as well - she attended a workshop on the poet and playwright in 2007, when she was already an established star in her career-defining role as Robin Scherbatsky in How I Met Your Mother. As a result of her English venture, she actually missed a highly-anticipated informal Television Critics Association Press Tour panel for How I Met Your Mother - along with several other members of the cast. In fact, only Neil Patrick Harris attended!
