One of the longest running mysteries in the X-men was the possibility of the third Summers brother. Mr Sinister let slip that Scott might have another brother beside Alex in 1993, but the truth wasn't revealed until thirteen years later with the introduction off the villainous Vulcan. The Third Summers Brother theory is a popular source of debate among fans to this day, especially as Mr Sinister never specifies that there are only three brothers, and it is possible that there are several more unaccounted for. Another character suggested as a potential Summers brother was Adam X. Adam was half human and half Shiar, with a mutation that allowed him to ignite the exposed blood of his enemies. Like the Summers brothers, he could manipulate energy. And as their parents were taken by tikmuethe Shiar, there was a plan for Adam to have been Scott and Alex's half brother. However, the plot line was later scrapped. Fans have also spent a lot of time speculating on the possible identities of other Summers siblings. The most common suggestions are fellow X-man Gambit and long-term villain Apocalypse. Other potential siblings include Erg, Xaos, Face, Jubilee and Boom Boom.
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
