Not content with merely being famous as an actress, Lilly has branched out into other areas of creativity, the most lucrative of which is... well, being a children's author. Yep: Lilly took time away from being an actress after the birth of her first child to concentrate on motherhood, but also to focus on producing her very own series of books aimed at children. The results amounted to a series of books called "The Squickerwonkers." Yes, The Squickerwonkers is an actual thing that Evangeline Lilly has put out into the world, and - guess what? - the series of illustrated books has been praised by adults and children alike for being genuinely weird and scary and original. Here's what Lilly said in an interview, outlining the basic idea behind this craziness:
"The main plot, now that the book is a series of 18 books, is that were introduced to this character named Selma and we discover how she comes upon this group of Squickerwonker puppets, and enters the Squicker-Show, which is essentially a test of character, and does not pass. So its a cautionary tale for kids, teaching them to recognise the vices within them and learn how they can make good choices to hopefully not come to such terrible ends as the Squickerwonkers."
Sounds... mental? Still, it's another string to this talent actress's bow. Who knows what she'll do next? Hopefully her days of urinating in garbage cans are over, though. Stay away, Jorge Garcia. You hear?
