Born and raised as a Christian, Evangeline Lilly hasn't spoken out a great deal about her religious beliefs over the years, but she has generally identified as a Christian, and was reported to have brought a Bible with her everywhere she went on the set of Lost. And believe it or not, when she was 18-years-old, the actress also travelled to the Philippines in a Missionary role:
"Technically, I suppose so, but I only went to the Philippines for three weeks to do work with my church. It's become this story where people think I was doing it for years. It was very short-term. I was 18 and went as part of a team. We lived in the jungle and backpacked. It suited me because I love nature. I am not a girl who needs to put on a whole face of make-up before I leave the house."
Since then, Lilly has continued her humanitarian work across the globe and regularly traverses the world in an effort to promote worthy causes. What a sweetheart.
