3. She Was Supposed To Be A Big Deal In Spider-Man
That was one (potentially) big break Jones missed out on, with her award-winning turn in The Theory Of Everything and now this Star Wars gigs adding up to a far more credible shot into the big time for the actor. But before she was headed for a galaxy far, far away she almost became an integral part of another huge franchise. Well, it was supposed to be huge, anyway. Sony have been sort of hemming and hawing about what to do with Spider-Man for a while up until recently they were look into spinning their comic book hero into a whole bunch of different films, with separate features to star his enemies and supporting cast. Part of that supporting cast was apparently going to include jewel thieving anti-hero and occasional love interest Black Cat, who was actually introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Felicity Jones appeared briefly as Felicia Hardy, who ends up becoming the Cat; except now Spider-Man's starting from scratch again at Marvel, she's probably out.
