10 Things You Didn't Know About Fight Club

7. ...And Smoked Three Packs Of Cigarettes A Day

When Helena Bonham Carter started shooting on Fight Club, she was renowned for her two-pack a day smoking habit. This, of course, worked well in favour of her character, Marla, who is rarely seen without a cigarette dangling between her lips. According to Brad Pitt, Bonham Carter actually enjoyed the fact that she was being "paid to smoke" - so much so, in fact, that by the end of filming, the actress had gone from smoking two packs of cigarettes a day to smoking three! Which is a lot, of course... but it kind of makes sense given that she had just spent months on end playing the likes of Marla. Who really, really likes smoking.
