10 Things You Didn't Know About George Clooney

2. Michelle Pfieffer Lost A Bet That He'd Be A Father By The Age Of 40

When he isn't pranking his co-stars he's not averse to the occasional wager - perhaps most famously Clooney had a bet with Michelle Pfieffer and Nicole Kidman for the princely sum of $100,000, with Pfieffer and Kidman betting that he'd be married by the time he was 40. 40 came and went and George Clooney remained the eternal bachelor, but now he's 53 and married even the prospects of producing a mini-Clooney sprog are back on the cards. At the time of the announcement of his engagement sources revealed that the couple were already trying for a child, so there's a chance yet that he'll join his friends Matt Damon and Brad Pitt in the dad club. Having $100,000 to put aside on a frivolous bet with your movie star friends is certainly an insight into the lifestyle of the rich and famous - but when you're worth $180 million such a wager is little more than pocket change. Although given the exorbitant sums splashed out on celebrity weddings that net worth could have taken a nose dive.
