It's perhaps difficult to imagine that an actor like George Clooney has ever struggled to land a part, but even as recently as 2011 he's talked about how he was unable to bring himself to watch Thelma And Louise after losing out on the part of JD to Brad Pitt. Pitt and Clooney have long since been best buddies so it's clear there are no genuinely hard feelings, but their careers would no doubt have turned out very differently if the part had gone to Clooney. Perhaps this early competitive edge is the reason why Clooney seems to have so much fun playing pranks on his A-list friend.
