10 Things You Didn't Know About Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2

2. Uma Thurman's Role Of Beatrix Was A 30th Birthday Present From Tarantino

If you were to rank birthday presents in order of how great they are, being offered the lead role of a Tarantino film on your 30th birthday has certainly got to be up there as one of the best ever. Whether or not Thurman still had to audition for the role is anyone's guess, but we would imagine Tarantino wrote the part with Thurman in mind. After all, a 30th birthday present of a chance to play a character in someone else's film sounds far less impressive. Its been a while since Thurman has appeared in another Tarantino flick since the Kill Bill films, with her absence from Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained being noted by many. You could argue that Tarantino's lost his desire to cast Thurman in his films recently, finding a new favourite in Christoph Waltz. Our guess? He's probably waiting for Thurman to turn 50 before giving her another delightful phone call to offer her a new role. Kill Bill Vol. 3 anyone?
