10 Things You Didn't Know About Leonardo DiCaprio

2. He Speaks Fluent German

One of the most annoying things about talented people, generally speaking, is that they always seem to be talented in more than one way. Everybody in Hollywood seems to have a hidden talent to go hand-in-had with their best-known talent. Which is a very long and convoluted way of saying that Leonardo DiCaprio, believe it or not, can speak fluent German.

So why German, of all the languages, you ponder? How did that happen?

Pretty simple, really: Leo's second language - and it is his second language - results from the fact his mother is actually German. Though he grew up in L.A., his heritage seems to have paid off - especially as a result of his very German grandmother being left in charge to babysit during his early years.

Seriously: check out any film junket interviews undertaken in Germany and you'l see that Leo talks the language like it's nothing.
