10 Things You Didn't Know About Mark Hamill

9. He's A Darn Good Voice Actor

Mark Hamill may have made his name as Luke, but he's been a voice actor for so very much longer than any of the Star Wars films took to make.

While the Star Wars universe expands, distorts and continues to spew forth books, games and movies, Hamill has been quietly plugging away with a huge array of voice work. He lent his vocal talents to a string of cartoons and animated movies, playing the hilariously named Captain Stickybeard in Codename: Kids Next Door, and Niju The Evil Wolf in Balto II: Wolf Quest. He's even made an appearance in The Simpsons, playing himself in "Mayored To The Mob".

As the above image may suggest, he's carved out a particularly successful niche playing baddies. In a delicious subversion, Hamill has given ol' Luke the finger, and took on such ne'er-do-wells as Hobgoblin in the Spiderman cartoons, Gargoyle in The Incredible Hulk cartoons, and Maximus in The Fantastic Four cartoons. These characters are all evil geniuses of the Marvel Comic Universe, but for a truly fantastic voice acting gig, look no further than his foray into the DC Comic Universe. In yet another 90's cartoon, Batman: The Animated Series, he voiced perhaps the best baddie of them all The Joker. He did it again very recently in the brilliant video game Batman: Arkham Asylum.

A one-trick pony, he ain't.
