10 Things You Didn't Know About Prometheus

1. Goblin Sharks Are Probably The Closest We'll Ever Get To A Real Alien

Looks terrifying right? You may be in disbelief as to the fact that such a creature exists on our homely planet, but Goblin Sharks are very, very real. They may be extremely rare and scarcely seen by humans, but the poorly-understood species has a defining trait that is remarkably similar to both the Xenomorphs and the Deacon - more so with the latter. Goblin Sharks have the uncanny ability to protrude their upper jaws far beyond what you would normally expect to see, giving the appearance of having a mouth within a mouth. Whether or not H.R. Giger originally drew inspiration from such bizarre creatures when creating the Xenomorphs is unclear, but you'd be hard pushed not to at least suspect that the artist hadn't at least glimpsed the creature at one point during the development process. What other secrets does Prometheus hold? If you think there are some bigger revelations you know about that aren't featured here, let us know in the comments below.
