Theres a brief shot in the movie where a private eye shows The Dude a picture of Bunny Lebowski and her farm. The photo of the farm is actually a reused prop from the TV movie In Cold Blood, which was based on writer Truman Capotes book of the same name. Oddly enough, The Big Lebowskis supporting cast member Philip Seymour Hoffman went on to portray Truman Capote in the 2005 film, Capote. Therein, Hoffman played the author as he was researching the book that became In Cold Blood (the film detailed Capotes investigation of a farmhouse murder). To add even more spookiness to the situation, Mark Pellegrino who played one of the Treehorn Thugs in The Big Lebowski portrayed one of the murderers in Capote. Weird, isnt it?
