10 Things You Learn Rewatching Halloween: Resurrection (2002)

1. In Summary

Halloween Resurrection Jamie Lee Curtis
Dimension Films

Halloween: Resurrection isn't just the worst film in this franchise, it's the worst film in this franchise by a quarter mile. Fans may hate the film for killing off Laurie and for letting Busta Rhymes beat Michael, but the film deserves to be hated for so much more. It is a truly terrible film in every sense, from the writing, to the direction, to the acting, to the editing. Everything about this film is a mess.

A rewatch of this film is a torture I would not inflict upon my worst enemy, and that's coming from a writer who has genuinely enjoyed watching every one of these films previously, no matter how bad they got. Resurrection is a whole new kind of low.

Haddonfield High Superlatives:

Best Kill: Jen's decapitation is laughably awesome.

Funniest Scene: Any scene with Busta's kung-fu.

Biggest Dick of a Character: The people who made this atrocity.

How Awful of a Town is Haddonfield?: 7 out of 10 (allows a cleary deranged reality television program to exploit its greatest tragedy)

Scream Queen Award: NO ONE. (Curse you Rosenthal for wasting Jamie Lee Curtis...AGAIN!)
