10 Things You Need To Know About Captain America: Civil War

Falcon isn't an easy character to adapt to live-action thanks to his colourful costume and the fact that he has a bird sidekick - a falcon obviously - called Redwing with whom he shares a psychic link. 

You can't blame Marvel for going down the Ultimate route in Captain America: The Winter Soldier then, but with Sam Wilson becoming an Avenger in Civil War, he will actually be getting Redwing. Well, sort of. 

Rumour has it that as well as a costume and gadget upgrade, The Falcon will have his very own drone. He'll apparently be linked to that through his goggles and will use it to spy on enemies before attacking; exactly what the comic book version of the character does with Redwing. 

Having the drone be the shape of a bird might end up looking a little goofy, but not necessarily so long as it's handled the right way. 

Either way, the simple fact that Marvel has found a way to give Falcon "Redwing" is a testament to why comic book fans so readily embrace these movies. It's also a story decision which just makes a whole lot more sense than Sam suddenly being psychically connected to the bird his suit is named after!
