10 Things You Need To Know About J.J. Abrams' Superman: Flyby

1. It Would've Been Terrible

In general, Superman: Flyby would undoubtedly have been worse than Man Of Steel, for all that film's problems. It wouldn't even have matched up to Bryan Singer' Superman Returns, and nobody likes that tedious little film. Honestly, it would've been right around the Superman IV: The Quest For Peace level, and that's one of the worst Hollywood movies ever made. Comic book fans should count their lucky stars that Flyby went through such a torturous production process that there was never a chance of it getting made. Which means that the world was never burdened with having to see Jude Law, or Ashton Kutcher, or TV's Chuck play the Man Of Steel. They also missed out on Kryptonian Kung-Fu, more films by Brett Ratner, a more confusing origin story, and a promise that the next film would involve Superman flying off in a rocket to his home planet. The world where Superman: Flyby got made is like some sort of dystopian alternate reality, where superhero films never underwent their current renaissance, the MCU never occurred, and Abrams probably wouldn't have gotten a chance to resurrect Star Wars properly. Would you have liked to have seen Superman: Flyby? Discuss J.J.'s attempt down in the commments.
