10 Things You Need To Know About Marvel's Phase 3 Slate

2. Inhumans Remains A Mystery

You might be under the impression that Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. has pulled back the curtain on how The Inhumans is going to play out, but comments from Kevin Feige indicate otherwise. While the series has done a good job of familiarising fans with the concept of these characters, don't expect it to have any real sort of impact on what Marvel Studios has planned. In fact, there are even rumours out there which claim that Feige has no interest in the show and views it as a "necessary evil" to keep Disney happy. That might just explain why none of the characters from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. show up on the big screen or why anything which happens in it has any sort of impact on what goes down in the movies. As a result, The Inhumans remains a mystery. There hasn't been any word on possible writers or directors at this point, and of all the Phase 3 movies, this one currently feels like the most likely to be pushed back for its release date to be given to something else (an Ant-Man sequel perhaps). Vin Diesel has indicated that he's been cast as Black Bolt via social media, but that seems a lot like wishful thinking on his part. Of course, him repeatedly mentioning his desire to be in a Marvel movie landed him the role of Groot in Guardians Of The Galaxy, so you never know!
