10 Things You Need To Know About Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4
7. ...Or Not
Although from the looks of it, Sam Raimi planned to take Felicia Hardy in a very different direction to how she was in the comics. Like, to the degree that you wonder why she was even going to be called Felicia Hardy, unless it was solely to troll comic books fans by not giving them what they wanted (ie Anne Hathaway in a skin-tight black catsuit).
No, instead of becoming the anti-hero cat burglar who has a flirtatious relationship with Spider-Man - because more of that was needed after the damp squib of the Peter-Mary Jane-Gwen Stacy love triangle of the last film - she was going to be the Vulture's sidekick. And she was going to be called The Vulturess, obviously, because if there was one thing screenwriter James Vanderbilt is lacking, it's understanding of cool names, ironically.
Tobey Maguire fighting a high-flying Anne Hathaway and John Malkovich would've been...interesting.
