10 Things You Never Knew About Ferris Bueller's Day Off

2. The License Plates Are Abbreviations Of Hughes' Films

When you€™re watching a film by Hughes, you should make sure to pay close attention to the scenery. You€™ve probably already noticed the license plate on the Ferrari, which says, "NRVOUS," referencing Cameron€™s nervousness about using his father€™s car. However, the rest of the license plates in the film reference other films that John Hughes has worked on. There's a plate that says, "MMOM," which is a reference to Mr Mom. There's another that reads, "TBC," which stands for his widely popular film, The Breakfast Club. There's even a plate that says, "4FBDO," which stands for Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
