In 2013, Netflix announced the imaginatively titled, Flixies Awards. Users were invited to vote on their favourite shows in various categories designed to reflect and celebrate the new way in which people watch entertainment online. Far from the prestige and eminence of the Oscars or Emmies, The Flixies were a pretty lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek affair. Categories included Best Marathon TV Show, Best Bromance, Best Commute Shortener, and Best PMS Drama. For the kids, there was Best Tantrum Tamer.
Created in a petri dish in an underground lab, I was originally designed by scientists to carry out high-profile assassinations for the CIA. Unfortunately, something went wrong and my only skill was writing list-based articles. So now I do that instead.
