Be honest - you tuned out for the last ten minutes or so.

And whether it was last night's football, speculation on whom the "Jedi" in "The Last Jedi" refers to, or indeed, a tiny but noticeable bit of fluff on the screen, you probably found something more interesting to think about as the film closed out.

Normally, imperfections on a cinema screen are incredibly annoying and distracting - especially on a towering IMAX display - but here, the fluff became an enigma, a story in its own right, sort of like the white plastic bag drifting on the breeze in American Beauty.

Alternatively, if you did manage to make it to the end of Fifty Shades Darker with your attention held firmly on the movie, then you deserve a medal good sir.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
