How could anyone not know Avatar: The Way of Water was coming in 2022? Considering the original was the most successful film of all time and the sequel had one of the longest productions ever, it's all anyone's been talking apart for over a decade.

But somehow, Edie Falco wasn't up to speed with the sequel, even though she was in it! Playing General Ardmore, Falco's character is responsible for overseeing humanity's latest invasion of the Na'vi's home planet. Having shot her scenes in 2018, The Sopranos actress assumed The Way of Water would be released within a year or two. So, when she heard no mention of it, she naturally assumed it bombed at the box office.

However, Falco underestimated how long the production on the latest Avatar instalment would take (as we all did), since she didn't realise it wasn't released until 2022. The Emmy-award winning actress was also unaware James Cameron's movies are allergic to failure, since his long-awaited sequel made a billion dollars in under two weeks.

But at the end of the day, you have to cut Falco some slack. Considering Avatar: The Way of Water was delayed by nine years, not even James Cameron knew when it was coming out!
