10 Times Batman Acted Like A Horror Movie Villain

Time will tell if Reeves' Batman is the darkest take on the character we've seen yet, but Batman has never been presented in a more pitch-black way than in BvS.

This is never more evident than in the title fight between the two DC titans. Fearful that Superman could turn on humanity, Batman decides that the only solution to his problem is to do away with the Last Son of Krypton altogether.

However, Batman doesn't just simply dispatch Supes once the tables are turned, he goes so far as to taunt and torture his victim.

After rendering him impotent with a batch of Kryptonite smoke, Batman proceeds to viciously pummel Superman until he is totally helpless. Rather than simply ending things when he has the chance, Batman tells Superman, "you were never a God, you were never even a man," in an attempt to make Superman's defeat sting on a personal level and break the hero mentally.

He then cuts Superman's face like something out of Reservoir dogs. The only thing that stops Bats from jamming a spear through Superman's eye is a well-timed, coincidental mention of ma Kent's first name, which happens to be the same as Batman's mother.

If Superman didn't sputter out "Martha" he would have met his end in brutal fashion.
