9. Skye Infiltrates Quinn's Party (Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.)
Mutant Enemy ProductionsWhen Dr. Franklin Hall - a brilliant scientist and former employee of S.H.I.E.L.D. - was kidnapped by ongoing S.H.I.E.L.D. antagonist Ian Quinn and taken to Malta, the only way Phil Coulson saw to infiltrate a party Quinn was hosting there was to send in the then newly inducted consultant Skye. Skye was raw at the time and had no relevant formal training - indeed, Coulson was actually quite hesitant to send Skye on her own, initially - but, given her tenacious attitude, she was very up for the task at hand. Grant Ward showed quickly showed her how to disarm an opponent with a gun, while Fitz and Simmons provided her with a compact mirror that enabled wireless access within the compound to disable the surrounding fence. Consequently, Ward and Coulson followed Skye in, in order to rescue Hall. Skye was fantastic. She tricked Quinn in to thinking she was betraying S.H.I.E.L.D., in order to get him to put his guard down, and even ditched her earpiece so that she could be more natural and do things her way. It was this brave move by Skye that truly began to endear her to everyone in Coulson's team and she never looked back from that point onward.
