In what is a clear second pick in terms of best Roger Moore Bond flicks, For Your Eyes Only is for the most part an action filled espionage thriller that works. It regularly places our favourite spy in precarious situations that he consistently finds ingenious ways to escape from.

Clearly the writers had run out of clever ways for Bond to escape by the start of the third act however, when he is finally captured by the traitorous double agent Aristotle Kristatos. Despite securing the treasured ATAC system off Bond and no longer having any need for 'his services', the normally razor sharp Kristatos ties Bond up with new lover Melina to the back of a boat rather than immediately dispensing of his sole threat. He then throws the two of them into the ocean in the hope that a couple of sharks swimming by may take a nibble.

Now had the sharks been in a pool or even if there were plenty of them, this plan might have been semi reasonable as far as Bond villains go. But the scene is out at sea and Bond has been cut with a very minor flesh wound that seems to have attracted all of two sharks. The scene pads out in excruciating fashion as Kristatos drives the boat back and forth on several occasions until Bond finally makes an escape. Geez, couldn't see that happening!
