7. Hulk Faces The Silver Surfer - Thor: Ragnarok
Despite not having his own solo film since the casting of Mark Ruffalo, we were treated to a heavy helping of the Planet Hulk story in Thor: Ragnarok. Hulk's side of the story was obviously cut down dramatically, meaning one of the most exciting battles on Sakaar will never make it to the silver screen.
Similar to Thor's experience in the arena, Hulk had to fight through multiple rounds to regain his freedom. The final round sees the remaining captives face the Herald of Galactus. The following pages show an epic fight as Hulk is forced to battle against his old friend. During the carnage, Silver Surfer's obedience disc was damaged, freeing him from the control of the Red King. By this point the Hulk is too far gone and he continues to beat Surfer nearly to death before Korg intervenes.
This isn't the only key moment missing. If the studios had picked the story for a solo film, audiences would have seen the Hulk find love with the Red King's former lieutenant and become a father. There would be no happy ending for though, as Hulk's new love is killed towards the end of the arc. Blaming the Avengers for her death, he heads back to Earth with his new warbound squad to take revenge in World War Hulk.
