Ever since Kevin Feige officially announced development of a Fantastic Four MCU film back in 2019, fans have been begging him to cast John Krasinski in the role of Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic.

Krasinski has been a fan favourite pick to play the part for years and years - even before the movie's official announcement - and so Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness absolutely brought the house down by finally pulling the trigger on it. Well, sort of.

During the film's unforgettable Illuminati sequence, we're introduced to a version of Richards from Earth-838, as played by Krasinski.

It's a short-lived moment of fist-pumping glee, though, as after briefly bringing Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) up to speed, he and the rest of the Illuminati are attacked by Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).

During the fight Richards is brutally killed by Wanda, who effectively spaghettifies his body which appears to cause him great pain, before exploding his head.

It remains to be seen whether or not Krasinski will return as the Earth-616 version of Mister Fantastic in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, but at least fans got to see him suited up in the MCU for a few minutes. It's something!
