10 Times The MCU Gave Fans EXACTLY What They Wanted
2. Tale Of Three Spideys - Spider-Man: No Way Home
Even with all of Spider-Man: No Way Home's pre-release rumours and blatant leaks, there were still many fans unsure if the MCU would really pull off the ultimate coup of putting three generations of Spider-Man - Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland - in the same movie.
But in one of cinema's all-time greatest cases of giving the audience precisely what they asked for, No Way Home is basically an extended fan service exercise - a multiversal adventure engineered with the near-sole purpose of bringing these alternate iterations of the web-slinger together.
And though Maguire and Garfield's Peter Parkers aren't introduced until the second half of the movie, they certainly make the most of their screen time.
Beyond the banter between the Spidey-trio both hilarious and dramatic, the real highlight is seeing them team up to battle the displaced supervillains.
And of course, director Jon Watts couldn't resist serving up an instantly iconic shot of the three Spider-Men swinging and making superhero landings together.
If No Way Home wasn't the most engaging or nuanced MCU movie on a pure narrative level, this is solid gold, uncut fan service at a basically weaponised level.
And yet, there's still one single moment that did it better...
