10 Tiny Star Trek Details You Might Have Missed The First Time

7. Mr. Mot's Hair Experience - Stardust City Rag

Freecloud is a planet that is frankly an assault on the senses.

Star Trek: Picard was a more muted palette than Star Trek: Discovery had offered, attempting to display a more sombre, measured approach to storytelling. The fifth episode of the first season was a hard left turn away from that, dropping the main characters on the non-Federation world of Freecloud.

There are signs in place that one would expect where the laws are fast and loose. Yes, Quark does indeed have a premises there, expanding the highly successful 'Last Outpost' of traditional Ferengi values from Deep Space Nine all the way to this planet. But, who is that being advertised right behind him?

Mr Mot was the bubbly and altogether too-chatty Bolian barber aboard the Enterprise-D. In several episodes, he is seen babbling away to various crew members, including Captain Picard, and was presumably still aboard with the ship was destroyed over Veridian III.

Stardust City Rag confirms that not only did he survive the Duras Sisters' attack, but is now thriving planet-side with a bigger shop, a brighter side and, hopefully, a much larger profit ratio - what with Starfleet not using currency.
