10 Totally Awful "Comedies" With One Hilarious Scene

6. Lilly - Pitch Perfect

Pitch Perfect This might technically be cheating because it amounts to a handful of small moments throughout the film, but the cringe-inducingly awful - yet oddly critically acclaimed - "comedy" Pitch Perfect features one uproariously funny character, and that's Lilly, the quiet Asian girl who cannot be understood by any of the movie's other characters. As a result, they're completely oblivious to the darker side of her personality, which has her uttering demented confessions, such as "You guys wanna see a dead body?", "I set fires to feel joy", and "I ate my twin in the womb". Actress Hana Mae Lee plays these scenes perfectly, especially the look of relief on her face once she's got the last one out in the open. Other than that, the film is just another corny underdog musical, but these brief interludes are absolute gold.
