Not necessarily with the often beautiful visual aspects of Duncan Jones' upcoming video game movie adaptation, but with the characters and - to some extent - the story. That's what happens when you bring a video game to the big screen, perhaps, but already - from this trailer - Warcraft has the air of something weightless; it doesn't feel like a film. Duncan Jones has never made a bad movie, you cry, and there's no reason to doubt his abilities until the finished film hits theatres. But the way the actors are... well, acting... coupled with the dialogue snippets in this trailer is enough to make a movie-goer feel uneasy. There is something almost parody-like about the tone of the piece, but at the same time there is the feeling that the people involved aren't quite in on the joke. All in all, it's hard to know what to make of this Warcraft reel. if anything at all. Video game adaptations are always nerve-inducing; this trailer doesn't quite ease those fears.
