10 Trailers That Tease Missing Scenes In Superhero Movies

There are countless scenes from Justice League's trailer campaign that were absent from the film itself, no doubt because Zack Snyder's original cut was hacked to pieces when Joss Whedon was brought in to oversee post-production.

Many of the AWOL scenes are alternate versions of shots that did wind up in the movie, but others are more significant than that. In fact, one of the most discussed moments from the trailers was left on the cutting room floor.

There's a scene where Alfred Pennyworth is addressing a mysterious stranger, who makes his presence felt without stepping into view. This was Justice League teasing the return of Superman, but at the time, there were dozens of alternative fan theories about who Batman's faithful butler could be speaking to.

The movie created intrigue around this moment, only to bin the entire thing and simply have the resurrected Supes head straight for the final battle with Steppenwolf. The only way the fans will get to see this scene play out in its entirety is if those calls for an unaltered Snyder cut of the movie are ever answered.
