10 Truly Awful Superhero Movie & TV Love Interests

7. Laurel - Arrow

Gwen Stacy Bryce Dallas Howard Spider-Man 3
The CW

It doesn't feel totally fair to call Laurel unlikable after everything that the Arrow has put her through. This guy dated her, ran off with her sister, and then ended up being the reason why her sister ended up "dying".

But the fact still remain that she isn't the most cuddly and relatable character on the show. Honestly, the biggest problem with Laurel is that she wasn't a person, just a weird amalgamation of personality quirks and contradictory plot contrivances designed to keep the show in a constant state of conflict.

There always had to be some kind of issue between her and Oliver, so the writers would mold her character into whatever it needed to be to further those storylines. The result is a shockingly inconsistent female lead, and one that it's hard to root for, especially when there is the much better written Felicity sharing the screen with her.
