Another dark Hollywood casting similar to that of The Exorcist occurred when the actor who played Random Task (a parody of James Bond's Odd Job) in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, was charged with conspiracy to commit torture and murder in 2011. He was linked through DNA to the attack of a woman on Christmas Eve in 1990, subsequently being sentenced 7 years to life.

Son began his career as a martial artist before moving into film and getting cast in several low-budget action movies such as Joshua Tree and Shootfighter. He had an established criminal record with previous charges like vandalism and probation violation.

In October of 2011 Son was accused of killing his cellmate in Wasco State Prison. He was officially charged with the murder in 2013.

It's disturbing to think that a criminal guilty of crimes such as these had an active career in Hollywood whilst simultaneously enacting such obscene acts of violence.
