1. X-Men: First Class
This one gets no points for effort whatsoever, and given that some audiences were already pretty sceptical about an X-Men prequel, it was vital that the marketing campaign pressed the right buttons and got fans on side. It didn't get off to a good start, then, with this mulch, which simply pastes James McAvoy's face over a silhouette of Patrick Stewart's Professor Xavier, adding insult to injury with a garish black hue around McAvoy. Though contrasting between the old and new is far from a terrible idea, the fact that this poster was blatantly knocked out within about five minutes would almost make you think Fox didn't give a toss about the property. Oh, and the one they released for Michael Fassbender's Magneto isn't any better either:
There's just no effort put in at all; frankly, we would have been more intrigued if these posters just had the shadow without the dodgy-looking faces. Are there any other horrendous posters we missed? Let us know in the comments below.
