10 Excrutiatingly Awful Movie Posters

2. Top Dog

This really is a test case of a film's marketing campaign being wholly unable to escape the shadow of just how God-awful the film in concept and execution actually is. After all, how much can you do with a buddy cop film in which the protagonist is partnered with...a dog. Even if the film pulls a Turner and Hooch and is actually kinda charming, marketing something so goofy is a real challenge, so the guys behind this poster for Top Dog basically just didn't try at all; we've got Chuck Norris with a sheriff badge, holding a giant gun, a generic logo, a lame, witless tag-line, and then part of the dog haphazardly hanging off of the film's logo. We like to think that this poster only helped contribute to Chuck Norris' already well-underway decline, as following Top Dog's failure, he became relegated to straight-to-video fare, without which we probably wouldn't have all those hilarious Norris memes in the first place.
