9. Did Aunt May Know Peter Parker Was Spider-Man?
Both of The Amazing Spider-Man movies underwent huge reshoots which greatly changed the shape of each release. Fans were even able to piece together an entire scrapped subplot from the first instalment thanks to scenes from the trailer which didn't make it into the final cut. In the case of the sequel, one of those was included on the Blu-ray, and it featured Peter's father inspiring him to move on from Gwen's death and become Spider-Man again. The movie itself though featured a subtext laden conversation between Peter and his Aunt May, in which it was strongly hinted that she was well aware of his double life. The first movie in the rebooted franchise and Sam Raimi's trilogy constantly flirted with this idea, but would The Amazing Spider-Man 3 have finally pulled the trigger? It certainly made for an interesting dynamic when it happened in the comic books. Maybe in the next reboot then...
