1. You Are Completely Insignificant In The Grand Scheme Of Things

I can't surely be the only person to have sat in the cinema watching a film and thought, "Wow, I really have done nothing with my life", am I? You watch these great actors collaborating with a director to make a cracking film that actually makes a statement worth espousing, and all you've done in the last week is sit around in your pants, playing video games and eating tortilla chips. These actors, directors, writers and crew members are actually
doing something; they will be remembered and singled out long after their death, while you're probably going to be lucky to end up in the obits column of your local newspaper. This really is a microcosm of the universe at large; if we're all just ants in the context of Earth, then zoom out further and even the celebrities are totally insigificant within the context of the universe. It's at once a depressing and somewhat comforting recognition of futility; whether you're a toilet cleaner or an Oscar winner, it won't matter once the world ends and the universe silently expands into nothingness. Wow, what a bummer. Apologies if you're reaching the Prozac. If you made it to #10, let us know what you think in the comments below.
