With a history of heartfelt efforts including the recent and almost unnoticed The Captive in 2014, Atom Egoyan delivers us another potential heart-wrencher in Remember. Starring Oscar-winners Christopher Plummer and Martin Landau, it's a wonder that more people aren't talking about this. Plummer and Landau play Zev and Max, two Auschwitz survivors who plot in their final years to track down and exact revenge on the Nazi guard responsible for the death of their families. Max is bound to his nursing home, which leaves Zev, cursed with Alzheimer's, to take the trip cross-country alone to finish the deed. Stirring the ghosts of the Holocaust and with capable hands at the helm, Remember promises to deliver a punch and off-screen, it's clear that these two legendary old-timers have their own points to prove in the twilight of their illustrious careers. Remember was released in the UK on February 21st and comes out in the US on March 11th.
