10 Under The Radar Horror Movies Coming In 2016
3. Spook Train
Lee Hardcastle is the mind behind any number of demented claymation videos that have gone viral in the last few years (check out his remake of The Thing using Pingu characters). In 2014 he announced he was making a feature-length claymation movie called Spook Train, and took to Kickstarter to finance it. Sadly it didn’t reach its goal, but Hardcastle decided to press ahead with the movie regardless.
The story will see a group of teenagers riding on an abandoned theme park ghost train, and then being subjected to all manners of grisly horror with each passing attraction. In his past videos Hardcastle has shown a real flair for crafting horrific images and creative gore using crude models, and this project is clearly a labour of love from a self-confessed horror nerd.
The movie is due to arrive towards the end of the year, where hopefully unsuspecting parents won’t make the mistake of taking their kids to see it.
