10 Underappreciated Marvel Superheroes Who Deserve Their Own Movies

6. The Runaways

The Runaways
Marvel Comics

Introduced in 2003, The Runaways are a group of superhuman youngsters, on the run from their murderous, Satan-worshipping parents, The Pride – an organisation of doomsday worshippers who indulge in ritualistic human sacrifice. The Runaways – which originally consisted of Karoline Dean, Gertrude Yorkes, Chase Stein, and Alex Wilder – escape having learned their parents’ sinister secret, witnessing the sacrificial rite themselves.

The premise is immediately captivating, and could involve any number of superheroes. The Runaways themselves are varied and dynamic – which, if cast correctly – could produce some interesting results, maybe even involving a young Peter Parker to some small extent. After all, the rooster has changed numerous times – including some familiar faces along the way – meaning there’s plenty of room to evolve or develop the concept.
