10 Underdogs We're Rooting For At The Oscars

1. Leonardo DiCaprio (Best Actor - The Wolf Of Wall Street)

It's funny to think of Leonardo DiCaprio as an underdog in any acting competition, given how often he is seen as one of the best young actors never to win an Oscar. This year's Best Actor race is quite possibly the most competitive in years, and frankly, it's a miracle that DiCaprio even managed to get nominated, given the stiff competition he faced from Tom Hanks (Captain Phillips) and Robert Redford (All Is Lost) to secure that fifth spot. DiCaprio's work in The Wolf of Wall Street is easily some of his best to date, and easily his most brilliantly unhinged: it's easy to see why audiences and critics alike were drawn to it, and why he's built up such a fan following on the Oscar circuit this year. Matthew McConaughey will rightly take the Oscar home for his career-best performance in Dallas Buyers Club, but what an Oscar moment it would be to see the long-deserving DiCaprio scoop the award. Oscar is certainly going to be in his future, but probably not this time. Who are you rooting for at this Sunday's Oscars? Let us know in the comments!
