Judd Apatow has directed and written some of the greatest comedy movies in the last 20 years. He has notably given a platform to previously unknown actors such as Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen and Steve Carrell and made them into household names. Although LeBron James already was a household name, Apatow took a risk on putting the 16 time NBA all star in the 2015 film Trainwreck but my goodness, does it pay off.

LeBron James plays a parodied version of himself as the main protagonist's (Aaron) best friend. The relationship between the two is hilarious and the jokes are nothing but net especially when multi-millionaire, mega star LeBron tries to give advice to humble doctor Aaron.

LeBron plays himself as an arrogant, out of touch, self-involved friend who countlessly forgets his wallet to get out of paying for dinner and plays a one on one game with Aaron like it were the play off finals. James goes from charmingly goofy to seriously protective without breaking a sweat and although he hasn't followed up Trainwreck with any comedies since, it's impressive to see he has that in his locker.
