10 Underrated Movies With Star Trek Actors
3. Missing Link - Zoe Saldana
Nyota Uhura has been wonderfully inhabited by Nichelle Nichols and Zoe Saldana across two different timelines. The role played a major part in defining both women's careers over the years, with Saldana finding further notoriety in the MCU and Avatar, and Nichols featuring in a variety of films and also dedicating her time towards a special NASA project that sought to recruit diverse personnel for the agency.
One of Saldana's more overlooked efforts in recent years is the wonderful Missing Link, another winning effort from Laika Studios. In addition to the genre actress, the film stars Hugh Jackman, Stephen Fry, Zach Galifianakis, and Emma Thompson.
The stop-motion delight chronicles the journey of a Sasquatch dubbed Mr. Link who wishes to reunite with his family in the Himalayas and the accompanying hijinks that ensue along the way. The film is a enjoyable ride that benefits from a breezy tone compared to Laika's other efforts, stunning stop-motion and a game cast that perfectly captures the film's sense of fun and heart.
