10 Underrated Rom-Coms You Have To See

Sleeping With Other People is just as irreverent, crude and unabashedly hysterical as it sounds. Starring Alison Brie, Jason Sudeikis, Adam Scott and Natasha Lyonne, the film is an endlessly funny, fresh and often touching portrait of two friends not wanting to ruin their friendship with romantic complications.

After a one-night stand years earlier, Jake (Sudeikis) and Lainey (Brie) reconnect (where else but at a sex addicts meeting?) and decide to stay friends despite their mutual feelings for one another.

And that's it, all told. There's some other minor complications, such as Adam Scott's instantly unlikable Matt Sobvechik and Jake's girlfriend, Paula (Amanda Peet), but amongst all the typical rom-com tropes and shenanigans is a clever, hilarious and often times moving narrative which allows Brie and Sudeikis the chance to show audiences that they're more than just comedy veterans, they're also capable and effective dramatic actors, as well.

And when a film is as fun as this, it's worth checking out if you're after a late-night comedy.
